Crowdfunding by definition is, “the practice of funding a project or venture by raising many small amounts of money from a large number of people, typically via the Internet.” Another way to think of crowdfunding is by simply thinking of it as getting funding (funds, resources, etc.) from a group of people.
There are different types of online fundraising, but the most popularly used are loans, providing ownership shares in the company, or “rewards based crowdfunding” Fund Her Projects operates on the “rewards based’ model of crowdfunding.
In the rewards based model, people give money to support an idea, person, or project they want to see created, then get rewards (from a small card and stickers, to even larger merchandise or just the thought that it’s the giving that counts). The person whose idea is being funded is known as the project creator. They’re the mastermind behind the brand, idea, or thought. These people are normally innovators who explain why they want to see their idea brought to life, how their ideas shape and form society, and how your specific contribution helps.
Fund Her Projects (FHP) is an innovative funding platform just for women. FHP is not your typical crowdfunding site as it allows members to promote a well-intentioned cause, and request needed items for their children (unborn within our online community.
Most women are not familiar with crowdfunding as it relates to their individual circumstances. Fund Her Projects aims to take the mystery out of crowdfunding and make it simple, clear, and easy. FHP focuses on the everyday woman and encourages her to move forward with her personal and professional goals.
FHP welcomes and supports projects in the varied categories of Education, Creative Arts, Professional Training and/Development, Entrepreneurism, Activism, and Personal Projects. Although we encourage almost any type of funding project we ask that our project creators use wisdom when determining what project/campaign they will promote, and refrain from promoting any content that may be considered inappropriate or unlawful. Failure to comply with this rule, will result in the removal of said project/campaign.
Not at all. Anyone who supports the idea of seeing women succeed and would like to donate is eligible.
